Wissen is hosted BookStack for teams that want useful documentation without operating the application themselves. BookStack organizes knowledge into books, optional chapters and pages; Wissen adds a workspace dashboard and a reviewed document intake workflow.

Two ways to build your knowledge base

Write and maintain pages directly in your own BookStack workspace, or submit an existing document through Document intake. Intake prepares a suggested page for a person to review. An AI suggestion is a draft, not an approved source of truth.

The Team handbook shows everyday working agreements for a fictional team. This product guide explains the intended workflow and the questions an administrator should ask. Public visitors can read and export content here. Editing and account creation are disabled for visitors.

Keep ownership clear

Assign an owner to each important page and review it when the underlying process changes. A searchable wiki is useful only when people know which instructions are current. This demo contains fictional examples; it is not a place to upload your team's documents.
